Orthodontics for Kids in Henderson
Metal Braces at Cadence Kids Dental and Orthodontics.
Kids Braces & Orthodontics
Give your child the confident and beautiful smile they deserve.
Traditional metal braces are still the most common form of orthodontic treatment. For children, they’re reliable, effective, and economical.
Braces place gentle, consistent pressure on specific teeth and cause them to move in a predetermined direction until they’re in alignment. Traditional orthodontics can treat crowding, gaps, crooked, and misaligned teeth.
Our in-house orthodontist sees children as young as seven. This early intervention can help prevent or minimize alignment issues, making your child’s treatment faster and less expensive.

-
How do I know if my child needs braces?
Per the ADA recommendation, we invite patients as young as seven to come in for an initial exam. Our kid’s orthodontist will be able to tell you if your child needs orthodontic treatment. The consultation is FREE, including a comprehensive exam and 3D scan.
-
Can we straighten my child’s teeth at home?
At-home aligner kits lack the supervision of an orthodontist or dentist, making them a risky option for something as important as tooth alignment. Misaligned teeth can cause teeth grinding, headaches, jaw pain, tooth decay, and gum disease.
-
How long will orthodontic treatment take?
The average treatment time for braces is two years, though it may not take that long for your child.
-
What should my child avoid while in braces?
Your child should avoid hard and sticky foods like jolly ranchers, lollipops, nuts, popcorn, gum, taffy, etc.
-
How should my child care for their teeth while in braces?
We will provide thorough instructions as well as tools to help your child brush and floss properly while in braces. It is also important that you keep their regular check-ups so our orthodontist can monitor their progress and catch any issues.
